Damon 9 Months

This was the shortest photo-shoot in the history of photo-shoots.  There's just no time to sit and smile for the camera.

Damon has four teeth now which he uses to eat dirt, rocks, chalk and any other non-food item.  He is a busy, busy boy and I spend a good part of my day removing those non-food items from his mouth.  Each morning as I'm getting him dressed, I pray it's the last time until bedtime.  He is the most difficult child I have ever dressed in the history of dressing children.  Many times I let him sleep in his clothes because it's just exhausting.  I keep him on the floor most of the time because he about catapults himself off the changing table.  This kid is crazy:)  He is cruising with more confidence now.   He loves cords, rocks, chalk, toilet paper, and the dogs water bowl.  He is perfect in every other way:)  We love this little monster more every day.

This was the only way I finished this blog post.

Spring Break Mini Trip

We decided to keep our spring break close to home and simple.  We drove an hour north, up to Fredericksburg, Tx...a place we've always wanted to visit.  We left Monday afternoon and stopped at the outlet mall before going to our hotel.  Tuesday morning we got up early and drove to the Enchanted Rock.  It's a big granite rock that you can hike.  We showed up at 8:30 because we heard they only let so many cars in, and we didn't want to take the chance of not getting in.  It was the perfect day for a hike, and we were all really excited to get to the top of the rock.  It was a pretty easy hike, but there were some parts that were pretty steep.  Cadynce and Donnie were awesome, Colbie was mostly not awesome, and Damon was in the front carrier giving me an extra workout.  We hung out on top of the rock for a while...we snacked, enjoyed the view, and took pictures.  As we ventured back down the rock, we stopped and played on some rocks for a while.  As we were leaving the park, there were cars lined up for a mile waiting to get in.  We had lunch and then walked up and down Main Street looking at all the shops.  It was a great little town to visit.  View Album for more pictures.

Donnie's Art Show

Last week was Donnie's art show.  He made all kinds of art as he learned about several different artists over the past few months.  The Art Show reveals how hard the kids have been working and what they've learned.  We are so proud of Donnie.  View Album for more pictures.

CrossFit Competition

We drove to McAllen, Texas for Don's crossfit competition.  We got in late Friday night, and competition was on Saturday and Sunday.  We had a great weekend, and the kids loved watching Daddy compete and playing with their friends.  View Album for more pictures.

Damon 8 Months...and more!

My baby is 8 months old and doing more than I'm ready for.  Apparently the helmet was holding him back, so he's making up for lost time.  He has two bottom teeth, he's crawling on all fours (part time), pulling to a stand, cruising a few steps, clapping, babbling mamama(YES!), and today he climbed up 5 steps. All of this happened in the past two weeks.  He has a strong desire for the fireplace, bathrooms, cords, and now the stairs...that makes me tired.  Then I look at his sweet face as he slobbers me with a very wet kiss...he's so worth all my energy:)  View Album for more pictures.

It's Off!!!

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hal-le-lu-jah!!

The helmet is off.  Damon wore the helmet for just under 3 months, and the results were amazing.  In the first visit they measured the diagonals of his head at 12.6.  They want the number to be at 6 or below.  Today's scan he was a 4.9 and completely done with the helmet.  The Orthotist was really happy with his results.  View Album for more pictures.

Namah's Visit

Namah visited us twice in one visit.  Say what??

Don left for Hawaii on Tues.
Namah's flight was cancelled on Wednesday afternoon.
Namah got on the evening flight to St. Louis and arrived in SA at 11:30pm
I woke all kids up and threw them in the car to pick up Namah.
Got home at midnight and threw kids back in bed.
Namah stayed with us until Sunday afternoon...said our good-byes...driver picked her up.
Namah called and said her flight was cancelled and she was staying until Wednesday.
We hopped in the car and picked Namah up for her second visit.
Don got back home Monday afternoon.
Cadynce had double ear infections.

So what did we do in between all that fun???  View Album for more pictures.

Damon 7 Months

A little photo shoot outside today.  Damon is low crawling all over the place, and he really wants to go in the grass.  Life just got a little harder:)

On the move.

Kinda liking the helmet now.
