Donnie's Bunk Bed

Two weekends ago we found a used bunk bed for Donnie's room.  We'll eventually need it so why not just get it right?  Donnie loves sleeping on the top bunk and he can hardly wait for Robbie to come visit so Robbie can sleep on the bottom bunk.  (Little brother is taking too long!)

Clean Up

Don did a little raking in the yard this weekend, and the kids enjoyed the little piles of leaves and smashing leaves inside the garbage can.  View Album for more pictures.

Rodeo Week

Last week was Rodeo Week at Cadynce's school.  One day they had a roper come in and put on a little show for the kids.  He was really entertaining.  I brought Donnie and Colbie to watch with Cadynce's class.  They also had a time to learn about cowboys around a campfire, play games and do a few crafts (Donnie, Colbie and I joined her class for this part).  They had a fun week learning about cowboys.  Next week is all about Texas.  View Album for more pictures.

Colbie 16 Months

My baby is growing up.  This girl loves to be outside any chance she gets.  Very thankful for our fenced in back yard so she can roam around with Cadynce and Donnie.  She is climbing up the big ladder to go down the big slide and she loves playing in the play house.  When we're playing in the front yard she is always in her little red car.  We park it in the grass so it won't roll and she just gets in and out of the car...endless fun for her.

More Bike Riding

First thing Donnie wanted to do when he woke up this morning was ride his bike.

Date with Dad

Valentine's Day is Cadynce's favorite day of the year because she gets to go on a date with Dad.  She loves getting dressed up and wearing a little makeup.  She mostly loves that Daddy brings her a rose.  They went to a place where they cook the food right in front of you...she thought that was so cool. Cadynce's Valentine's Day Party

Wednesday we had Cadynce's Valentine's Day party at school.  They keep the parties simple with a game, a craft, and lunch.   The kids love having their parents and siblings join them during their school day.  Donnie loves to jump right in next to Cadynce and be a part of her class.  View Album for more pictures.

New Bunk Bed

Daddy is done with the finishing coat...now we wait.

So excited about their new bed.

It's been in our plans to get the girls a bunk bed, but we found a used one that we thought was perfect so we bought it.  Don had to take it apart to get it home and while it was in pieces we cleaned it up and put a finishing coat on it to make it shine...what a huge difference that made.  It matches perfectly with all our other furniture so we're just shuffling things around right now since Colbie won't be out of her crib for a while.  Cadynce and Donnie waited all weekend and watched as Don made the bed look nice and pretty.  We finally got it put together Sunday night at 8:30!  You can imagine the excitement and how late they stayed up.  Donnie and Cadynce had great plans of both sleeping on the top bunk, but after a few "I have to go potty" Donnie slept on the bottom.  So yes, all three kids slept in the same room.

Her First Tooth

Cadynce's tooth finally fell out.  She was eating a frozen gogurt when she started crying because she saw some blood.  As she held a paper towel in her mouth to clean up the blood her tooth just fell out.  She was a little terrified at first, but that soon turned into excitement.  She told me the story of how it happened a million times (even though I was there to witness it all).  View Album for more pictures.
