Our Last Day

On our last day the girls (and Donnie) went to see a musical called Pinkalicious.  Alissa and Aubrey have the book so we went and checked it out.  I've always wanted to go see a play/musical at our little kids theatre downtown and we finally got to go.  It was really cute and the kids loved it.  Rob and Robbie had their "boy" time and headed to Taco Bell for some good Mexican food since they don't have one three miles from their house!!  It was such a wonderful week and I didn't want it to end.  Cadynce has said to me several times that she wishes they could live with us.  I have to admit, our house was pretty fantastic for having guests.  They got to stay upstairs and have their own space.

Incredible Pizza Company

We had one rainy day so we planned on going to a place where the kids could play indoors.  This place was awesome.  They had all kinds of games, go-carts, bowling, bumper cars, a bounce house, and much more.  We got there and ate first.  They had several different rooms to eat in...a diner, a gymnasium, a family restaurant, and a few others.  We ate in the diner.  We all had a great time and the kids were pretty tired after playing.  We got home and took a long late nap.  We went and had dinner at our favorite burger place "Bigz."  The kids enjoyed playing ball while waiting for dinner and after we ate we just hung out and played some more.  When we got home we got the kids all ready for bed and then had a dance party.  They loved it.  I don't think they went to bed until 10:30 that night.  What a fun day we had.  View Album for more pictures.  Click here for videos.

We Love the Zoo!

We went to the zoo on the most perfect day.  It was a good 78 degrees outside and we looked at almost every animal in that place.  Probably the most exciting thing we saw was the hippos butt.  The kids got a kick out of that.  After the zoo we went and had dinner downtown at a place called The Cove.  It was on the tv show Diners,  drive-ins and dives.  We ate outside and they had a playground for the kids to play on.  View Album for more pictures.

A Relaxing Day

After a day at Sea World we decided to just hang out at our house and go to the playground.  The kids had fun just being outside in the warm weather.  Alissa has said several times "Mom, I'm hot!"  The girls have had fun playing in the backyard with the horse swing and the playhouse.  Our weather has been awesome.  View Album for more pictures.

Sea World

We didn't waste any time getting this vacation started.  We went to Sea World on Sunday and spent the entire day there.  We saw our three favorite shows again this year.  The weather was beautiful and the crowd was unusually small.  It was perfect!! View Album for more pictures.

Surprise, Surprise!!

On Saturday we were celebrating Cadynce and her friend Blake's birthday at a gymnastics play place.  Don arrived with the cake and pizza and asked me to go out to the car to look at the cake.  I walked out to the car and was surprised to see my sister Carrie, Rob and the kids standing there.  They drove all the way from Indiana (20 hours) to spend their spring break with us.  Don and Carrie have had this planned for the last month and I had no idea.  What a great surprise!!  It was so fun for Cadynce to have her cousins here for her birthday party.  View Album for more pictures.

Mimi's Visit

Mimi came to visit this weekend.  Cadynce had so much fun playing with Mimi and didn't give her a break the whole visit.  Saturday was a busy day with a birthday party, the zoo, church and dinner.  Sunday Mimi got the morning with the kids while Don and I worked at church.  We went to lunch then came back to the house and hung out until we had to take Mimi to the airport.  With all the driving we did Cadynce and Mimi were always singing.  Mimi taught Cadynce the song "The Farmer in the Dell" and Cadynce has not stopped singing it.  It was a great visit and the kids had a blast.  View Album for more pictures.

Donnie 9 Months Old

My baby is nine months old today and getting very close to crawling.  He has four teeth now and a couple others are on their way.  He is doing his job as little brother and bugging Cadynce every chance he gets.  It is so funny watching them interact...this is usually how it goes.  Cadynce is playing with her animals and Donnie wants what she has.  Cadynce - "Doooonnnnnnie! Stop taking my friends!"  Donnie -"AHHHHHHHHH."  Five seconds later... Cadynce- "NO Donnie, these are my friends!"  Donnie- "AHHHHHHHHH."  Cadynce - "Mommy, Donnie put my bear in his mouth and he's all wet!"  Mommy - "Cadynce, pick up your friends and move them."  Cadynce - "Ok Mommy."

Donnie started waving bye-bye a couple days ago and he has done a few things that resemble sign language so it shouldn't be long before I know what he's saying.  He gets cuter by the day and his smile just melts me.  One of the favorite moments is watching how excited he gets when he sees Daddy.  Even with an ear infection he is one happy kid.  View Album for more pictures.
