I had a little photo shoot with Colbie while Don took Cadynce and Donnie on a bike ride. It was nice to get some alone time with Colbie...she is so busy. We mostly hung out in the back yard because she loves to wander outside. She pushed around her riding toys, played in the water table and did a little swinging. We came inside to play baby dolls. We did a lot of rocking and singing to our babies and put them to bed a hundred times...she is such a little mommy. This is probably one of my absolute favorite ages (they are all different and I love them all for different reasons), but there is so much growing and changing going on at this age. She is doing a lot of talking and signing (which means less whining noises from her mouth) and her personality just melts me every day. We all know how much she loves her bear. Well, she can now say bear, but it sounds like "beer". So she walks around saying "beer" when she's trying to find him, and it's even better when we're out in public and she's calling for her "beer". She is growing up so fast and soon she will be a big sister. View Album for more pictures.

Fiesta
It's Fiesta week here, and Cadynce's school celebrated with a shoe box float parade along with some other Fiesta festivities. Her teacher let us borrow her float...I think she was just trying to help out the big pregnant mom and make life a little easier for me. I gladly accepted the offer. Donnie, Colbie and I watched each class make their way around the school showing off their floats. There were some serious floats that clearly were made by mom, and some that were clearly made by kids. It was my first Fiesta experience with a school...very interesting. Cadynce's day was filled with all kinds of Fiesta fun. They made tortillas and broke open pinatas. They were also served a Mexican lunch...such a fun day. Cadynce also gave Don and I a surprise that evening ( I knew nothing about this). She asked us to close our eyes and next thing we know we have confetti all over our heads. It's part of Fiesta to break cascarones (confetti filled eggs) on other people. Fiesta is a big deal here. If you're interested in the history click here. View Album for more pictures.

Tough Mudder
We rented a house this weekend in Wimberley, Texas with our friends. Don and Jason signed up to run the Tough Mudder which is a 12 mile run with 22 obstacles mixed in. We drove up Friday afternoon and stayed through Sunday. The race was Saturday morning and took the guys about three hours to complete. We only got to see two of the obstacles...not much of a spectator race. The rest of the weekend we just hung out at the house. The kids were awesome and had a blast playing at this house and swimming in the hot tub. The view was amazing too. We had a really fun weekend together. View Album for more pictures.

32 Weeks
I had my 32 week check up today and all is looking good. Measuring right where I should be, and boy Clark's heart beat still makes me smile. Dr. doesn't think his head is in the down position so hopefully he gets it figured out in the next 8 weeks. Time is flying by and he'll be here before we know it.

Q & U Wedding
Cadynce's class had a wedding ceremony celebrating the letters Q and U and talked about all the words they make together. The girls dressed as Queens and the boys were Quarterbacks. The ceremony was so cute, and after pictures we went back to the classroom for cupcakes and punch. What a cute idea. View Album for more pictures.

Colbie Swinging
I could hardly believe it myself, but this little 17 month old wanted to use the big swing so that's where Daddy put her. She held on and sat up straight. Cadynce and Donnie were pretty excited to see their little sis on the big swing. They took turns pushing her gently. It soon became a full time job because she didn't want to get off. Good job Colbie!!

Cadynce's 6th Birthday
I'm pretty sure Cadynce enjoyed every minute of her birthday. We took a Hello Kitty cake to school so she could share with her friends. As soon as she walked in her class she was welcomed by her friends with birthday wishes and hugs. She told everyone she talked to that it was her birthday. She got to pick where we ate dinner and she chose McDonald's. We ended the evening watching Disney on Ice at the Alamodome. I wasn't sure what she would think about it because she doesn't totally love princesses. As we were walking to the Alamodome through the parking lot she saw many little girls wearing costumes and tiaras. She asked why they were wearing them and then said, "Mom, I'm really not that into princesses." I let her pick out one souvenir and she chose the gecko from Rapunzel. The first story was The Little Mermaid. I don't think she quite understood the coolness of them being on ice skates, but it was pretty much like watching a movie to her so she loved every minute. They also did the story of Rapunzel, Brave and Beauty and the Beast. During one part watching Brave she said, "If I had a remote right now I would fast forward this part." She said they were all her favorite and she wanted to go again. This morning when she woke up she said she couldn't stop thinking about Disney on Ice. I'm glad we went and thanks to Daddy for the great idea.

Blue Bonnets
Blue Bonnets are a big deal here. They are only in bloom for a few weeks and then we wait until next year to see them again. Everyone goes crazy over them so we see a lot of people who pull over on the side of the road to take their pictures in the blue bonnets. This was a spur of the moment idea so we didn't get dressed for pictures. We went to the same field that we went to a few years ago, and I wasn't sure if it was still there. I wasn't going to make a big deal out of what to wear at 5 o'clock when we decided to go. We just hopped in the car and went. Cadynce and Donnie had a blast running around. Colbie didn't really like all the long pokey grass she had to walk through. We got some cute pictures though and the kids had fun. On a side note...the site we use to hold our pictures changed and we really didn't like it so Don fixed that today. Hopefully it's back to how it has always been. View Album for more pictures.
Wedding
A couple that Don works out with had their wedding last night in Castroville, Tx. We love going to weddings here because they are so Texas. We actually just went to the reception because we were bringing the kids, and this ranch where they had it was absolutely beautiful. It had an outdoor space that was not used for the wedding and that's where our kids ran around crazy most of the night. View Album for more pictures.

Cadynce's Birthday Party
We celebrated Cadynce's birthday with her friends this morning at the park. It was a perfect day to be outside and everyone loved this cool playground. View Album for more pictures.
