We had a fun Valentine's week starting with our playgroup party. Nicole and I decorated a bag for each kid and had their picture on it. When all the kids got to our house they all put their Valentine's in the bags. We made waffles and had a great breakfast while the kids played and made a huge mess. We all had a great time.
On Friday, Don took the day off and we took Cadynce to the San Antonio Rodeo. We went to the petting zoo first. Cadynce thought it was the greatest thing ever, and she is not afraid of any animals which is a little scary to me. I was not very comfortable being in there with a bunch of goats after I was rammed by one at the zoo. I was carrying Cadynce's baby doll and one of the goats started stalking me. I was ready to go. Next, we took Cadynce to ride the ponies, and she loved being up there on that little pony. Once again she did not want to let any other kids get on her pony so we took her to the horse barn. She got to pet some horses and watch a few cowboys brush and saddle their horses. When the horses started making noises she told them all to be quiet. We went and saw the really big horses and one happened to have left a big pile of digested food behind him and Cadynce couldn't stop looking at it. It was pretty funny. We walked around and had lunch then headed back home to take a nap. Cadynce didn't make it five minutes in the car before she passed out.
After nap time Don took Cadynce to the mall with him and I enjoyed a little alone time. I went to the resale shop and bought Cadynce a little bike to practice pedaling. She hasn't quite got the hang of it, but we go out and practice every day.
We got a babysitter that night and celebrated our Valentine's by going to dinner and then going to Floore's Country Store for a concert. Don and I don't typically buy gifts, but this year I had a very practical request. He said he wanted to wait to give me my gift at dinner, and I thought it was kind of weird that he wanted me to open up my maternity/nursing pajamas in front of a lot of people at a restaurant. Instead he surprised me with a pair of earrings!! I worked on Saturday so Don and Cadynce surprised me by bringing me lunch. Sunday we had a family day and started it off with a trip to the bowling alley. Cadynce had so much fun. We spent the rest of the day hanging out at home and playing outside.

We had a real hot one yesterday so we got the pool out and played in the backyard. Cadynce can still wear the swim suit from last year so I guess the only thing growing these days is her hair, and that's not saying a whole lot. She still loves the water which is good because we just signed up to take a swim class together. I wanted to do something special before she has to share me with her brother in June.
