38 Weeks

Only two more weeks until my due date.  I had my 38 week check up today with all three kids...I think that's the first time I've taken all three by myself.  They were awesome.  Just before the doctor was to come in Donnie said he had to poop and Colbie pooped in her diaper.  And, because I was getting checked I wasn't exactly dressed to help anyone.  Cadynce offered to take Donnie and help him, and Colbie just had to endure her stinky mess until we were done.

Cadynce and Donnie have had many questions regarding babies, and I talked to them about this appointment and how the doctor was going to have to look at Mommy so they needed to go behind the curtain.  Cadynce declares everything as "disgusting" and she does not want to have a baby.  Donnie is glad he's going to be a dad so he doesn't have to have a baby.  This has been such an experience for them and quite entertaining for me.

Today I am dilated at 2 cm and 50% effaced.  This is where I've been the last three pregnancies so I'm hopeful I will at least make it until my mom gets here next Friday.

Painting

We spent quite a bit of our morning painting today.  I leave a lot of the painting to the preschool, but I was feeling up to the mess this morning and Colbie has never painted before...poor girl.  It looks like we'll be doing a lot more painting this summer.  View Album for more pictures.

Donnie's School Program

Donnie had his school program and picnic today.  He was so excited for us to come see him at school.  As he walked in the church he had the biggest smile on his face, and he didn't stop smiling the whole time.  They sang a few songs, and then each kid got to say their name in the microphone and what they love about preschool.  They played a slideshow of the kids from all the pictures throughout the year, and then we went outside to eat lunch.  I can't believe he only has one more day of school left this year.  View Album for more pictures.

Preschool Graduation

Friday was Cadynce's preschool graduation.  We got up early so we could go to breakfast before school.  The graduation was very well done.  The kids got to sing several songs they've learned throughout the year, each class recited a bible verse they memorized, and each child was announced and given a certificate.  They had snacks for everyone after the ceremony.  View Album for more pictures.

Mother's Day Fun

We had a busy Mother's Day.  We went to church, the zoo, the pool, and out to dinner.  We finished the day with ice cream made by Cadynce and Donnie.  They love to play restaurant so they took our orders and made our ice cream for us.  What a fun way to end the day.  View Album for more pictures.

35 Weeks

I had a doctors appointment yesterday and it's looking like baby boy is head down now.  Don came to this appointment with me so he got to hear baby's heart beat.  Next week we will have one more ultrasound.  I can't believe only 5 more weeks until my due date...crazy!

Swim Team

I can't believe swim team has begun.  Cadynce and her friend Blake are on the team together this year which has made it more fun already.  We all ride together in our van each day and the kids are totally crazy...they think it's so cool.  The water is pretty cold, but practices are only 30 minutes right now.  Once school is over practice will switch to mornings and will go 45 minutes.

Muffins with Mom

Donnie's school has a muffins with mom breakfast to celebrate Mother's Day, and they give us the gift they worked so hard to make.  After breakfast Donnie got to show me around the classroom and take me outside to show me all the cool stuff they do.  It was so fun to see him in his school setting without his sisters.  View Album for more pictures.

First Swim

Our neighborhood pool opened May 1st.  The kids were so excited they wanted to go swimming NOW.  We told them it would be cold and they didn't care at all.  They only swam about 20 minutes, but they were asking to go back later in the day.  View Album for more pictures.

Cornyval Parade

The Cornyval Parade was last weekend, and it was Donnie's turn to ride the float with his school.  He was so excited to throw candy.  It amazes me every year how many people show up to watch the parade.  View Album for more pictures.

Lost Tooth

Cadynce lost her 2nd tooth on Tuesday.  This time around went much better than the first.  She didn't cry about the blood and pulled it out herself.
