Cadynce School Program

The school year has come to an end.  It has been so fun watching Cadynce grow, learn, and experience new adventures at school.  Cadynce has never been one to color, paint or have anything to do with any kind of art no matter how hard I tried.  I was shocked to find out in my meeting with her teacher that the art studio is her favorite place to be at school.  She has been coloring, drawing and painting at home too.  She will sit and work on a drawing for quite a while (which is not normal for her at all).

They ended the year with a special program for the families.  They sang 'Going on a Bear Hunt', 'Deep in the heart of Texas', and 'Jesus loves me.'  They played a slideshow of all the pictures they took throughout the year and then we headed out for a picnic.  Oh, and I should mention that Daddy took Cadynce to school in the morning and she thought that was so cool.  View Album for more pictures.

What a Weekend!!

Friday night we dropped the kids off at the church where Cadynce goes to school.  They have a "kids night out" program that meets once a month.  They were there from 6:3o-10pm.  I think they enjoyed it just as much as we did.  It took them a good 30 minutes to wind down once we got home.  Saturday we spread dirt over the grass.  The kids played in the big pile for hours!  I did what I could to contribute, but the old body told me when I was done.  Cadynce and Don camped out on the patio that night too.  Cadynce was "off the wall" excited.  Apparently, they didn't go to bed until midnight.  Sunday, we squeezed in a trip to Sea World and ended the weekend at Bigz Burger Joint.  It was a fun action packed weekend.  View Album for more pictures.

Mother's Day Fun!!

Our Mother's Day tradition is early morning breakfast.  This year was no different as we woke the kids up at 6 to get to one of our favorite breakfast places before they opened.  We had a fantastic breakfast (best pancakes) then headed to church for the early service.  We picked up a chair we bought for the living room then went home for lunch and naps.  After a short rest we walked to our pool.  The water is still a little chilly, but the kids loved it.  We went to dinner and then ice cream, and Cadynce fell asleep on the way home.  What a fun filled day we had.  Don made me a new mug as he does each year and the kids drew me a picture.  I am so thankful for my awesome husband and great kids for making this day so great.  View Album for more pictures.

Friends Weekend

Our friends made the trip down from Austin to stay the night at our place.  They have a new addition to the family...Molly is almost 4 months old now.  They arrived on Saturday at lunch time.  The kids started playing the second they walked in the door.  They stopped for a few minutes to shove some lunch down and then they got back to playing.  Our house was one crazy and loud place, but they all played so well together.  View Album for more pictures.
