Fiesta!

Last week it was "Fiesta," which is a really big deal in San Antonio. We've never taken part in the festivities, but we did go to the Fort Sam Houston Army Post on Sunday. They were having their own Fiesta. We took Cadynce in her wagon and walked around for an hour listening to live music and letting Cadynce practice walking in her first pair of StrideRite shoes. I'm amazed at how well she walks already; she doesn't fall much for a kid who just learned to walk. She wants to walk everywhere, and she did great walking in the grass. As we were leaving, we passed a park that had a baby swing, so we stopped for a family swing! Cadynce loved it. View Album for more pictures.

Grandpa & Mimi Visit

Grandpa Don and Mimi flew in for the weekend to visit their grand-daughter who just turned one. We went to dinner, did some shopping, and just enjoyed hanging out at home watching Cadyne play. She made some big strides in her walking this weekend, and she also learned to steer her stroller all by herself. That means less work for me and less whining for Cadynce. Cadynce had a great time hanging out with her Grandpa Don and Mimi. View Album for more pictures.

She's the Big One Today!!

We got Cadynce a red wagon for her first birthday and she loves riding around in it. We took a trip to the zoo and looked at all the animals then had a picnic dinner. We were the only people at the zoo which was wonderful. We got to hear the lions roar and see the monkey's eat. View Album for more pictures.

Cadynce's 1st Birthday Party!!

We had a birthday party for Cadynce this afternoon with all her friends. She didn't enjoy her cake like I thought she would, but she really loved putting the icing in her hair. Cadynce has also started walking a little bit. She's taking about 5 or 6 steps and learning how to balance at the same time. View Album for more pictures.
