Capehart's Visit

The Capehart family drove to San Antonio for their spring break and spent the week with us.  We went to the Incredible Pizza Company, walked through a cave and stayed on a Dude Ranch.  It was a fun filled week.  View Album for Lots of pictures.

Spring Break 2013

Last week was our spring break.  We had all kinds of fun and Don took a few days off work for some extra family time.  We drove up to San Marcos and stayed at a hotel with a pool so we could enjoy some swimming.  We shopped at the outlet malls and visited the Snake Farm and the Natural Bridge Caverns.  We had a really fun week just staying close to home and being together.  View Album for more pictures.

Bike Trail Ride

Don and his friend Brian took these four youngsters on quite an adventure.  They went riding on a bike trail with a 3, 4, 5, & 6 year old.  They rode all the way to a playground which is a little over 3 miles away...none of the kids have training wheels and the path is a little hilly and a bit curvy at times.  I was shocked to hear they rode all the way there.  They played for a while before heading back.  Sounds like they all had a great time playing together and they were pretty proud of themselves.

Donnie's Art Show

Tonight was Donnie's school art show.  He has been to Cadynce's the last two years and now it was finally his turn.  We went to dinner across the street before the art show,  and as we were driving over to the school Cadynce and Donnie kept saying "I can't believe it's finally here.  I must be dreaming."  They were so excited to see Donnie's art displayed all over the school.  View Album for more pictures.

Bouncin' Fun

We've had the bounce house outside all week.  Colbie was a little terrified to get close to it until Cadynce threw the magic bear in it.  She discovered she loves the bouncy and doesn't want to come out now.

Donnie's Bunk Bed

Two weekends ago we found a used bunk bed for Donnie's room.  We'll eventually need it so why not just get it right?  Donnie loves sleeping on the top bunk and he can hardly wait for Robbie to come visit so Robbie can sleep on the bottom bunk.  (Little brother is taking too long!)

Clean Up

Don did a little raking in the yard this weekend, and the kids enjoyed the little piles of leaves and smashing leaves inside the garbage can.  View Album for more pictures.

Rodeo Week

Last week was Rodeo Week at Cadynce's school.  One day they had a roper come in and put on a little show for the kids.  He was really entertaining.  I brought Donnie and Colbie to watch with Cadynce's class.  They also had a time to learn about cowboys around a campfire, play games and do a few crafts (Donnie, Colbie and I joined her class for this part).  They had a fun week learning about cowboys.  Next week is all about Texas.  View Album for more pictures.

Colbie 16 Months

My baby is growing up.  This girl loves to be outside any chance she gets.  Very thankful for our fenced in back yard so she can roam around with Cadynce and Donnie.  She is climbing up the big ladder to go down the big slide and she loves playing in the play house.  When we're playing in the front yard she is always in her little red car.  We park it in the grass so it won't roll and she just gets in and out of the car...endless fun for her.
