Friends Visit

Our friends from Austin drove down to spend the night.  Our kids all get along so well, and they always have the best time together.  They played, ate lunch, played some more and then we went to the rodeo festivities.  They all rode on a few rides/roller coasters for the first time (Donnie does NOT like roller coasters).  We visited all the animals then went to dinner.  The next morning all the kids were up very early and ready to play.  We had such a fun time and can't wait to see them again soon.  View Album for more pictures.

More Colbie

Colbie is growing and changing.  She has found her thumb and enjoys sucking on it to put herself to sleep. (Not sure how I feel about this, but didn't seem to be a problem when Donnie sucked his fingers.)  She's been sleeping from 10-5 pretty consistently and she is almost as long as her bassinet so I know it's time to make the big move.  Her crib is almost cleaned out, and she'll be out of our room once the chaos of this week ends:)  We are looking forward to Daddy getting home on Monday from the Super Bowl.  Here are some pics while he's been gone.  View Album.

Mom's Visit

My mom flew out to spend a long weekend with us while Don was on a work trip.  She was here from Thursday to Monday.  I gave my mom warning that I had a huge project that I needed help with (and she still came out).  We cleaned all the window blinds in my house...all 20 of them.  We took them down and washed them in the bath tub, and then we hung them back up and towel dried them.  We split it up over three days.  My last task was cleaning all the ceiling fans.  It felt so good to get the last bit of construction dust out of our house.  Cadynce and Donnie had fun hanging out with Namah, and the weather was nice so we were able to play outside every day.  View album for more pictures.

All Stitched Up! (Donnie's Turn)

 I feel like I've said that before...oh, I have.  This time it was Donnie with the open gash under his chin.  I was just about to wash the kids hair when Donnie stood up to grab a toy and slipped.  He hit his chin on the edge of the tub and started screaming.  I had a feeling it wasn't good.  We had to drag him out of the tub so we could take a look.  We were much more prepared this time around...we had gauze and large Band-Aids.  We taped him up and got him dressed, and the funniest part was when Cadynce said through her tears, "can I get out of this bloody water?"  Don took Donnie to the Children's hospital to take care of business.  When he got home I gave my brave little boy a sucker!

Colbie 3 Months

Colbie is 3 months old today.  She is my biggest and easiest baby.  She is so easy going and is pretty much sleeping through the night now (10:30-5).  I think I'll wait a little longer before I put her in the crib, and I need to prep big sister before that happens.




1 Month

Go Donnie Go!!

Donnie has been potty training for the last few days and he's only had one accident (and he made it a good one).  After realizing how much a little boy goes to the bathroom we decided to lay off the candy and go to stickers.  I drew a snake that he got to put a sticker on each time he went, and at the end of the snake we would go to the zoo.  Well, that only took two days!!  We made a trip to the zoo and we loved it.  View album for more pictures.

Bumbo Time

I let Colbie try out the bumbo for the first time and she did great.  She lasted long enough to take a few pictures and then she was done.

Christmas in Indiana

We drove 21 hours with three kids and two dogs up north to Indiana.  We spent two weeks with our families over Christmas, and everyone got to meet Colbie.  A long trip equals a LOT of pictures so take a look if you have an hour.  View Album for more pictures.
