Sea World
We didn't waste any time getting this vacation started. We went to Sea World on Sunday and spent the entire day there. We saw our three favorite shows again this year. The weather was beautiful and the crowd was unusually small. It was perfect!! View Album for more pictures.
Surprise, Surprise!!
On Saturday we were celebrating Cadynce and her friend Blake's birthday at a gymnastics play place. Don arrived with the cake and pizza and asked me to go out to the car to look at the cake. I walked out to the car and was surprised to see my sister Carrie, Rob and the kids standing there. They drove all the way from Indiana (20 hours) to spend their spring break with us. Don and Carrie have had this planned for the last month and I had no idea. What a great surprise!! It was so fun for Cadynce to have her cousins here for her birthday party. Mimi's Visit
Mimi came to visit this weekend. Cadynce had so much fun playing with Mimi and didn't give her a break the whole visit. Saturday was a busy day with a birthday party, the zoo, church and dinner. Sunday Mimi got the morning with the kids while Don and I worked at church. We went to lunch then came back to the house and hung out until we had to take Mimi to the airport. With all the driving we did Cadynce and Mimi were always singing. Mimi taught Cadynce the song "The Farmer in the Dell" and Cadynce has not stopped singing it. It was a great visit and the kids had a blast. View Album for more pictures.

Donnie 9 Months Old
My baby is nine months old today and getting very close to crawling. He has four teeth now and a couple others are on their way. He is doing his job as little brother and bugging Cadynce every chance he gets. It is so funny watching them interact...this is usually how it goes. Cadynce is playing with her animals and Donnie wants what she has. Cadynce - "Doooonnnnnnie! Stop taking my friends!" Donnie -"AHHHHHHHHH." Five seconds later... Cadynce- "NO Donnie, these are my friends!" Donnie- "AHHHHHHHHH." Cadynce - "Mommy, Donnie put my bear in his mouth and he's all wet!" Mommy - "Cadynce, pick up your friends and move them." Cadynce - "Ok Mommy." Donnie started waving bye-bye a couple days ago and he has done a few things that resemble sign language so it shouldn't be long before I know what he's saying. He gets cuter by the day and his smile just melts me. One of the favorite moments is watching how excited he gets when he sees Daddy. Even with an ear infection he is one happy kid. Namah's Visit
My mom came to visit this past weekend and it was so nice for Cadynce to have her Namah here to play with after being stuck at home with me for the past two weeks. Namah and Cadynce played doll house almost every second of the day. Don and I got to go out a couple times which is always nice. On Valentine's Day we took my mom to breakfast at our favorite place and that night we went shopping and to dinner. We also took a trip to the rodeo and there were so many people we just walked around and looked at the horses. The lines were way too long to do anything fun, and the weather quickly changed to very windy and dark clouds so we got out of there. Monday our new countertops were installed so we just hung out at home. My mom also helped me paint our bedroom. We had a great weekend and Cadynce had some great bonding time with Namah. Donnie Clapping
Donnie has been really sick this past week with a high fever. The poor kid has been miserable and just laying and sleeping on me all week (which is not like him at all!) We went to the doctor and he's got a virus, but everything else checked out ok. To make things a little more miserable he got another tooth in. The other night Donnie woke up just a couple hours after going to bed so we brought him out to watch tv with us. We were hanging out and he was pretty happy and started clapping. It was so exciting that Don and I were both sitting there to enjoy his first clap. Click here to see video.

San Antonio Rodeo/Super Bowl
We finally made it to our first San Antonio rodeo and we're planning on going one more time before it ends. The rodeo goes on for three weeks and each night they have different entertainment after the rodeo. Saturday night we got to see Tim McGraw perform and it was awesome!!
We ended up just staying home to watch the game because our friends got the flu. We had a fun day up at the outlet mall. We just got a sit n stand stroller and we got to use it for the first time. It was awesome! We got some wings and had chips and dip and enjoyed watching the game as a family. View Album for more pictures.

New Haircut
Cadynce got a haircut the other day and she looks like a totally different little girl. She did such a great job sitting in the chair all by herself while enjoying a sucker.

Donnie is 8 Months Old

Where did these last 8 months go? Donnie is growing up so fast. He finally got his first tooth yesterday; one of his bottom teeth broke through and the other is close behind. He has also been babbling quite a bit and he loves to say "ma ma" which just melts my heart. Sign language is going to come in very handy for Donnie because he is quite the screamer. He does a lot of yelling in the high chair when it's feeding time. This boy likes to eat. He also does a lot of yelling at Cadynce. She loves to take his toys from him and he lets her know that he does not like that. He does a pretty good job of putting up with his big sister, but there will be a day when he will be fighting back and it's not that far away. Occasionally, I get to listen to them take turns screaming as loud as they can...Donnie thinks it is hilarious which only makes this game more fun for Cadynce.
